Which new game launches this week?

Recode has learned that Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) is expected to announce a new title on Tuesday that will be the first game to launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, following the launch of “Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Sony is also expected to unveil a new console for next-generation gaming in the next week or so.

The launch of a new game is expected next week, according to sources familiar with Sony’s plans, but no exact date has been given.

In an interview with Recode on Monday, Sony CFO Kevin Bruner said Sony is currently working with third-party publishers on “all kinds of new games” that will launch next year.

“The way that the game industry works is, we have the same kind of structure that we have with other companies,” he said.

“So there’s no one single game that’s going to be out next year that’s different from what we did last year.”

Bruner noted that Sony will have to wait until April 25 for its next game to be ready to launch in the United States, and it’s not yet clear how long it will take for the next-gen console to arrive.

“It will be a very, very long time, and we’ll be announcing a lot more in the coming days,” he added.

Bruners comments come just hours after Sony confirmed that it’s working on a “Marvel game” for next year, following a string of announcements that have shown that Sony is gearing up for a big next-year launch.

On Monday, Bruner revealed that “The Avengers: Infinity War” would launch this fall.

“We’re going to do a bunch of different games, a lot of different franchises, with a focus on some of the best players in the world, and this is going to have a major impact on the next generation of gaming,” he told investors in a conference call.
